"I just read your final paper. It is really excellent in every way. Unfortunately, NYU does not permit a grade above A (which you will receive). I very much enjoyed having you in the class. I will always remember you looking with great focus and attention towards what I was saying. You have a true intellectual gift and I wish you continued success as you pursue your work.

I teach this class to find people like you. Enjoy your summer, and if
you have time, let me know how you are doing. And pay it forward.

EEEEAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
*explodes from happiness*
I highly recommend taking "Political and Moral Conflicts and the U.S. Constitution" (offered in the Spring to sophomores and juniors). And I'm not just saying that because I got a good grade, or because it's an easy class -- it's definitely not an easy A, but it was my most worthwhile, fulfilling, intellectually stimulating course this semester. (Not that this semester was particularly intellectually stimulating... but even so, I learned more in this class than I may have all two years of my college experience so far--in terms of things that will have a practical application outside of academia). I am so honored he thinks I'm intelligent. (or intellectual. there is probably a difference.)
